It is normally predicted using the percent rate of increase in gross domestic product (GDP) per capita and is correlated with numerous factors in the society which includes quality of life. Religion as a prominent dimension of culture can be a considerable factor in one’s quality of life. However, it is often overlooked as a potential determinant of economic growth but it has been underscored that it helps in boasting the economic growth of the society. In this work therefore, a cursory effort will be made to divulge some of those roles religion plays in her contribution to a better economy and to examine how religious activities or policies of some religious traditions affect or boast the economy of a given section of the society. Phenomenological approach was adopted in this study and the theory of Religious Economy was used. The paper recommends based on findings that religion should not be seen in isolation as it helps to determine the growth of the economy of every given society.</p>}, number={4}, journal={International Scholar Journal of Arts and Social Science Research}, author={Okolo, Ekenedilichukwu A. and Ugwumadu, Obioha K.}, year={2021}, month={May}, pages={352–360} }
