Open Access

ISJASSR applies the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license to works it publishes. This license was developed to facilitate open access – namely, free immediate access to, and unrestricted reuse of original works of all types.

Under this license, authors agree to make articles legally available for reuse, without permission or fees, for virtually any purpose. Anyone may copy, distribute, or reuse these articles, as long as the author and original source are properly cited.

Publication Fees

In order to increase visibility of published works, ISJASSR makes articles freely available online for researchers and readers to read, distribute, and reuse. Since there are no subscription fees paid to access published articles, ISJASSR charges publication fees to meet costs of maintaining its platform, indexing and settlement of staff salary including honorarium that may result in the editorial process.  Therefore, upon acceptance of a manuscript, an article publication charge of $700 will be due.

However, authors’ ability to pay publication fees will not be considered in deciding whether a paper should be rejected or accepted.

Fees Waiver Policy

We  grant discounts automatically for authors living in developing countries; and partial fee waivers on a case-by-case basis for authors who lack funding and are not able to afford the publication fee. For partial fee waiver, Application Letters indicating place of employment, monthly income, country of residence must be sent at the point of submitting article.

Peer Review Process

ISJASSR operates double blind peer review.  Recieved manuscript considered suitable for the scope of the journal is sent out to at least two peer reviewers who may have been registered on the journal website. An assigned editor may contact peers on other platforms like publons, researchgate, academia or even contact colleagues from institutions.

Reviewed articles are sent back to the journal admin via our workflow system. The editor-in-Chief or an assigned Associate Editor takes the final decision on the paper based on recommendation by the peer reviewers.

Our Research team will occasionally seek advice outside standard peer review, for example, on submissions with serious ethical, security or societal implications. We may consult experts before deciding on appropriate actions, including but not limited to recruiting reviewers with specific expertise, assessment by additional editors, and declining to further consider a submission.

Reviewers are assigned on the basis of subject matter and disciplinary expertise. Reviewers are encouraged to request reassignment if an article is outside their area of expertise, if the article for review is too closely related to the reviewers' niche of expertise, or if the selection results in a conflict of any kind. If a peer reviewer feels unqualified to review a given assigned article, the reviewer must notify the journal admin.
