Publication Freqency

Continuous Article Publication (4 Issues Per Year)

The journal publishes four issues per year. However each article is treated independently. An article is processed and published without waiting for all articles meant for an issue to be ready.

Open Access

ISJASSR applies the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license to works it publishes. This license was developed to facilitate open access – namely, free immediate access to, and unrestricted reuse of original works of all types.

Under this license, authors agree to make articles legally available for reuse, without permission or fees, for virtually any purpose. Anyone may copy, distribute, or reuse these articles, as long as the author and original source are properly cited.

Peer Review Process

ISJASSR operates double blind peer review.  Recieved manuscript considered suitable for the scope of the journal is sent out to at least two peer reviewers who may have been registered on the journal website. An assigned editor may contact peers on other platforms like publons, researchgate, academia or even contact colleagues from institutions.

Reviewed articles are sent back to the journal admin via our workflow system. The editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor takes the final decision on the paper based on recommendation by the assigned editor and reviewers.

Our Research team will occasionally seek advice outside standard peer review, for example, on submissions with serious ethical, security or societal implications. We may consult experts before deciding on appropriate actions, including but not limited to recruiting reviewers with specific expertise, assessment by additional editors, and declining to further consider a submission.

ISJASSR recruits Peer reviewers from a list of qualified volunteers or from a list of qualified researchers. Volunteer reviewers with the appropriate credentials, skills, and expertise are carefully selected by our editorial staff to review appropriately fitting assignments.  Reviewers are assigned on the basis of subject matter and disciplinary expertise. Reviewers are encouraged to request reassignment if an article is outside their area of expertise, if the article for review is too closely related to the reviewers' niche of expertise, or if the selection results in a conflict of any kind. If a peer reviewer feels unqualified to review a particular assigned article, the reviewer must notify the journal admin.

Publication Fees

ISJASSR charges publication fees to meet costs of maintaining its platform, indexing and settlement of staff salary including honorarium that may result in the editorial process.  In order to increase visibility of published articles, the journal makes articles freely available online for researchers and readers to read, distribute, and reuse. Upon acceptance for peer review, an article publication charge of $150 ($65 for developing countries) will be due.

However, authors’ ability to pay publication fees will not be considered in deciding whether a paper should be rejected or accepted.

Fees Waiver Policy

We  grant discounts and partial fee waivers on a case-by-case basis for authors who do not have access to research funding and cannot afford the publication fee.
